PRABOWO SUBIANTO: THE VALUES OF TOLERANCE ARE THE LESSONS I GOT FROM GUS DUR
Warta Hub. DIGDAYA TV has aired a live discussion with Prabowo Subianto as keynote speaker through Facebook channel. The discussion has been done interactively in which Prabowo Subianto received questions from viewers.

At the minute 1:28:33 Prabowo received question from Pak Nistra who asking; how close you (Prabowo Subianto) with Gus Dur?  The reason Pak Nistra asked this question because he watched the news in which he got the statement from Gus Dur that “Prabowo is most sincere man”.
Prabowo chuckled in remembering jokes from Gus Dur. “He likes to joke. He always has a way in pleasing everybody and makes a warm atmosphere”.

“My relation with Gus Dur had been started by grandmother and his mother. We were neighbor in Matraman, East Jakarta.  We played together since we are relatively in the same age. The thing that makes me be in deep feeling when his mother, together with others, bathed my grandmother’s corpse when she passed away”. Prabowo remember his experience with Gus Dur.

“My personal relation with Gus Dur has established since I was in Major rank. Our relation has passed the power relation. It was started before he became the president, and then he became president, and when he became the ex-president.  Even before he died, he has huge contribution in developing GERINDRA since the beginning”. Prabowo added his information.

“Our relation is very good. Sometimes many people don’t understand Gus Dur. But for me, he has given me big influence in understanding tolerance. He never wants to be in hostile with other”. Prabowo explained more about Gus Dur.

“At the end I realize that Gus Dur is a Moslem who is very tolerant with others. The most important thing is that we want to create open relation and dialog. Even though we disagree with others, but that is the way to protect and train tolerance”. Prabowo added his explanation seriously.

“The other close personal relation with him is that I was massaging him frequently. That is the way I respect him as my senior. Perhaps it is because I practice Pencak Silat. There is a correlation between Pencak Silat and massaging skill in handling the sprain. I frequently had the sprain during the Pencak Silat trainings. Prabowo explained in laughing.

Prabowo Subianto has many sweet memories with Gus Dur, particularly related to tolerance. According to him that tolerance needs to be protected and trained by opening the dialog among different religions, race and ethnicities.

Even though we are in disagreement, tolerance needs to trained and applied by direct interaction. We can’t teach tolerance theoretically.

Diteriaki Ganti Presiden 2019, Inilah Candaan Yang Dilontarkan Prabowo Subianto!

Pojok Utama . Teriakan 2019 ganti Presiden kembali berkumandang. Kali ini saat bakal calon presiden (Bacapres) Prabowo Subianto menjadi pembicara utama dalam seminar nasional bertajuk ‘Paradoks Indonesia’ di Hotel Sahid Jaya, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jakarta. Teriakan 2019 ganti Presiden terjadi tak lama setelah Prabowo naik ke podium sebagai pembicara utama. Seorang pria hampir paruh baya yang duduk di tengah-tengah peserta seminar mendadak berdiri dengan mengepalkan tangan kanannya ke atas seraya berteriak ganti Presiden 2019. “Ganti Presiden 2019,” teriak pria tersebut. “Hidup Prabowo,” jawab sekelompok Emak-emak yang juga sebagai peserta seminar. Melihat ada peserta seminar diskusi yang berteriak tersebut, Prabowo lantas mengarahkan pandangannya ke sumber suara itu. Ia menatap tajam kearah pria itu. Mantan Danjen Kopassus itu hanya merespons teriakan ganti Presiden 2019 dengan santai. Ia bahkan sempat melontarkan canda menanyakan latar belakang pria tersebut.

Keberhasilan kontingen pencak silat Indonesia menyapu bersih delapan medali emas Asian Games 2018 dinilai sebagai hasil pembinaan yang baik yang dilakukan pengurus besar Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia atau PB IPSI.
